Mobile Hypercubus Hotel Room Can Reinvent the Accommodation Industry [Video]

Aiming at bringing an innovative design idea in the field of tourism, Studio WG3 implemented a mobile hotel room in Styria, Austria. Entitled Hypercubus, the project is based on three fundamental principles: the use of open areas with available infrastructure (alternatively also self-sufficient), construction of small modular living units that are also transportable and the creation of a new concept in tourism (the prepaid apartment) with a uniform corporate design. With mobility being its strongest feature, the project can be moved around from place to place, meeting the accommodation demands during high and low tourist season.

With a highly modern interior and cleverly all-equipped, this particular mobile hotel room offers a high degree of comfort for its guests. But the interior design of the Hypercubus can be easily adapted to a variety of tastes and seasonal changes. If we were to take this idea further, similar “cubes” can be built responding to the tourists’ need for rustic and traditional details as well. An office space can be created, providing an artist or a writer with a quiet place to gather ideas. The possibilities seem endless at this point. Have a look at the video below to see how the unit is made and transported! Almost looks too easy, doesn’t it?

Smart Hillside Home Using Solar Orientation And Passive Ventilation

Vista Del Valle by Zimmerman and Associates 1 Smart Hillside Home Using Solar Orientation And Passive Ventilation

Capturing distant views of Mt. Diablo and East Bay, this 4,400 square feet modern home is perched on a steep slope in the Californian Sonoma hills. Vista Del Valle accentuates its location with its slightly sloping roof, under which modern interior spaces define the inhabitant’s lifestyle. An exterior courtyard opens to an infinity swimming pool overlooking the valley below and provides comforting views from behind sliding glass doors. Inside, warm spaces reconstruct the feeling of being outside, but keep the atmosphere unburdened by swift weather changes. Overhangs protect the light-flooded kitchen, dining and living spaces from overheating, while windows and glass doors welcome the cooling breeze. Clerestory windows, solar hot water heating, radiant floor heating, alongside the orientation and passive ventilation create a comfortable atmosphere without charging the bills. Imagined as a modern oasis of comfort within natural surroundings, the residence was designed by Zimmerman and Associates, who dressed the whole house in a carefully constructed skin – horizontal cedar siding and stucco intertwine to compose a suite of volumetric spaces adapted to the existing site conditions, natural lighting and needs of a modern lifestyle.

Ultra Luxurious Suite Simulating a Personal Golf Resort: Hole in One

Alberto Apostoli Golf 2 Ultra Luxurious Suite Simulating a Personal Golf Resort: Hole in One

Hole in One is a project for golf lovers. The concept of the design is based on the idea that golf is part of a lifestyle and needs a special space. The project was conceived and designed for a specific and sophisticated target that loves the outdoors and a particular kind of luxury. The design aimed at creating accommodation facilities meeting the requirements of refined and peculiar golfer users. A true personal golf resort offers a mini-course inside the suite, as well as an “intelligent” bedroom displaying state-of-the-art technology, a real home spa to regenerate the mind and the body after a long day. Alberto Apostoli presents a new kind of luxury, less noisy and luminescent, but rich as well, due to the refinement of materials, technological solutions and strong integration of emotion and function.

On the left side, the suite showcases a circular bed in leather, a built-in Jacuzzi, a bathroom with columns washbasins and full height video screens. On the other side, a wellness space by Technogym, emotional shower and a glazed/wooden sauna made in cedar and slate were carried out. The space is finished in a white and green floor, planks of old wood, green walls and a wallpaper, especifically designed by Apostoli, and these elements enrich the interior space horizontally and vertically.
